Man, we been on our grind for a while now. When I say “our”… I mean you and I…. all of us. We’re out there work’n try’n to get by day to day. Some of us have families to support and others have the whole block on our backs. It seem like everyone depends on us. So, we stay busy, busy, busy… all the time. Some people look up to us as if we carry them through the fire… and that’s partly right. What they don’t understand (and some of us don’t understand), that we make it through with the grace of our Lord. It would be impossible for us to even speak, if not for His grace.

Work, work, work… we work all the time, homie… and most of the time, we’re more blessed than we really think we are. The other day, I overheard someone complaining about how tired he was of always getting the short end of the stick— this man was complaining while opening the door to his Hummer 2. Sometimes, we just can’t see it. That’s why, for this Sunday’s SoulFood, I thought that it’d be only right to take a quick second to pause thank the Lord for what we already have… And especially to thank the One that has give’n us the STRENGTH to keep hustle’n like we do.

The work that the Lord gives us is never easy. My uncle used to say, “boy, you can go until you give out, but never give in.” Before, I used to look back at all the times I could’ve given in, and never did. It took STRENGTH for me to keep going. Now, I realize WHERE that strength came from. Think about that while yall are out grind’n this week and be safe out there!

Oh, and hit the play button on the video here…. trust me, the Mississippi Mass Choir will do you some good, bruh. One
