Come check out the video of her 20/20 interview inside.
This is some crazy shit right here. For a generation that grew up being raised by single mothers… we sure as hell seem comfortable beating our women down. Take a look at this video right here. Rihanna looks slightly rattled but strong at the same time. Not only are we pray’n for her… but for all the troubled relationships out there.
Rihanna recently said, “I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it’s my life,”
She was talking about the photo that the police leaked to the media showing her wounds.
Rihanna… if you’re reading this… Trust me, Girl… nobody here thinks it’s a fun topic… There’s nothing fun or funny about this shit. I’m from a family where we all grew up watching our fathers beat our mothers. My auntie stayed with her abusive husband till the day she died… she’s finally at peace now. It’s fucked up what happened to you and it’s fucked up it’s still happening to women all over the world. But since you’re in the public eye, you have a chance to show women how to stand up and stay strong. We appreciate your bravery.
To all the fellas reading this… check the video out and pay attention… then look at the picture of Rihanna after being beaten. Imagine your mother looking like that. Feeling mad yet? Feeling a bit violent, homie? You should. I’m feel’n it too… but instead of taking it out on our girls… or instead of tracking down our fathers and smack’n them with a brick until they die… let’s redirect that energy, turn it positive and funnel it into care’n for our women more… naw mean? I hope yall doing good out there… or doing better. Be safe always and God Bless. One.
